Horse power

For more than, 6,000 years, horses have provided humans with ''horse
power''.
People have traveled great distances on the first mills and factories
were powered by horses and all over the world farms relied on horses to
pull heavy plows and carts. Today horses power had largely been
substituted by machine power. The term ''horse power'' is now used to
measure to pulling power of an engine.

Clydesdale
Teams of Clydesdale were used to work the land in North America and
Australia.
