Galileo Galilei



Galileo Galilei was born in Piza on 15th February 1564. He started to study at Piza University in 1581. When graduated he became a maths teacher at the university in 1589. Galileo thought Kopernik's theory about the world's shape was true. In 1610 Galilei discovered 4 moons of Jupiter. Galileo Galilei died on 8 January in 1642, when he was 77.

David Livingstone

David Livingstone was born in a very poor family in 1813. When he was 10 he had to start to work. When he graduated from University in Glasgow he became a doctor. In 1840 David worked as a missionary in Kapsztad. He crossed Kalahari desert in 1851 and he nearly reached Ngami lake. In 1856 Livingstone crossed all the continent of Africa. David explored Africa till the end of his life, in 1873 in Chitambo's in Ulala. He is one of the gratest discoverers in history. His grave is in Westminster Abbey, in London.
